The Guam Bar Association’s Board of Governors is pleased to announce that the 2010 GBA CLE Conference will be held on Wednesday, October 20th, 2010 at the Top o’ the Mar in Nimitz Hill, Guam. The full day conference will feature 6.5 Hours of CLE Credits, including 1.5 Ethics Hours.

Topics of discussion will include presentation by the following presenters:

Presentation by Attorney Harold F. Parker, with Guam Legal Services Corporation, and Leilani Hernandez, with the District Court of Guam, on Compliance with ADA Laws relating to Employer/Employee Matters & General Hiring Practices by the District Court

Presentation by Attorney Arthur Clark, with Calvo & Clark, LLP, on Guam’’s Mechanics Lien Law

Presentation by Attorney John S. Unpingco, with Unpingco & Associates, Attorney John Thomas Brown, & Attorney Thomas M. Tarpley on Selected topics in Local and/or Federal Procurement Laws

Presentation by Ethics Prosecutor, Bruce A. Bradley, regarding Updates on Ethics Issues within our Jurisdiction

GBA will also be sponsoring a debate between the two candidates running for Attorney General, Attorney Leonardo Rapadas and Attorney Gary Frank Gumataotao,  to be held at the Conference.

Early Registration cost for the Conference is $125.00. Deadline for early registration is October 18, 2010. Late registration (after October 18) and on-site registration is $150.00. The conference includes CLE Certification, continental breakfast, lunch, and program materials. A registration form can be found below. Payment should be made to the Guam Bar Association and submitted together with the completed registration form.
