The American Bar Association will consider an Amendment to its Constutition which would provide the Guam Bar Association (and the CNMI, Virgin Islands, and American Samoa) with one delegate seat each in the ABA House of Delegates. The ABA Standing Committee on Credentials and Admissions recommends APPROVAL of this Amendment. As you know, Guam and the CNMI currently share one seat in the House.

We encourage all Guam Bar members, and particularly all members of the American Bar Association, to submit their testimony or letters of support to the ABA, which will consider the Amendment at its Annual Meeting in August.

If you have any questions, please contact the following:

  • Jay Arriola (ABA House of Delegates)
  • Cynthia Ecube (Guam Bar President)

Thank you.
