The District Court of Guam, District Court of the Northern Mariana Islands, the Guam Bar Association and the CNMI Bar Association are pleased to announce a Virtual Seminar entitled, “Marijuana Hits the Shores of Guam & CNMI” on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. ChST. This seminar is part of an ongoing Bankruptcy Series. This event is open to attorneys (for a fee) and is free for local businesses such as investment firms, banking institutions, the restaurant industry, government agencies and consumers.

Topics Covered:
 

1. Tourism impacts by the marijuana industry
2. Risks and benefits for the marijuana business
3. Medical vs. Recreational Consumption
4. Legal complexities for attorneys
5. Criminal, Banking, Tax and Bankruptcy consequences

Cost:
$100.00 for GBA Members; Free for the General Public

CLE Credits:
Two (2.0) total Continuing Legal Education (CLE) Credits are available to attorneys, comprising of 1.5 General Credits and 0.5 Ethics Credits.

Registration for this event via the Members’ Dashboard Events Portal starting Wednesday, September 1st, 2021. Registration will close at 11:59 PM ChST, Thursday, September 16, 2021.
