(Hagåtña, Guam) – The President of Palau, Surangel S. Whipps, Jr., has tapped Judge Arthur Barcinas of the Superior Court of Guam to serve as part-time Associate Justice of the Palau Supreme Court, Trial Division.

Please find Administrative Order No. ADM21-002, Fourteenth Updated Order Relative to Court Operations Under Exigent Circumstances Related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which was filed on 2/19/2021.

The Public Defender Service Corporation (PDSC) will soon open its doors to assisting Guam’s elderly through a grant with the Department of Public Health & Social Services (DPHSS). As a part of the MOU between PDSC and DPHSS, we know that there may be instances where there may be a conflict between our office and the Manåmko’ we are to serve through this MOU. Consequently, we are inquiring if you are interested in taking any of the cases we may conflict out of. 

"Futures Without Violence" and the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges (NCJFCJ), in partnership with the Pacific Judicial Council (PJC), is pleased to offer a two-part *FREE* web workshop to help judges, lawyers, and stakeholders better identify and navigate issues of elder abuse in a variety of court hearings that may arise. 

Please see General Order 21-0002 signed by Chief Judge Tydingco-Gatewood. The Court will execute a phased approach (Court Condition of Readiness 2 also known as CCOR 2), to the reopening of the courthouse to the public and will be open from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. for walk-in services starting Thursday, January 28, 2021.

The Supreme Court of Guam issued Administrative Order No. ADM21-001, Thirteenth Updated Order Relative to Court Operations Under Exigent Circumstances Related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), which was filed on Monday, January 18, 2021.
