In light of the current health emergency, the District Court of Guam along with the Judiciary of Guam and the Guam Bar Association are launching the iCivics COVID-19 Education Challenge to help keep our students engaged and their minds challenged in civics education.

In light of the Governor’s and Chief Justice’s orders limiting governmental and judicial operations, the Guam Law Library will reopen to the public on Wednesday, May 6, 2020. Please see the attached Memorandum for further information on GBA member access to the library prior to reopening to the public.

General Order No. 20-0015 has been issued by Chief Justice Frances M. Tydingco-Gatewood as the District Court of Guam continues to adjust its policies and procedures in the daily operations of the courthouse. Please see the attached Order for further changes to its operations due to the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

Amidst the current public health emergency and the closure of our educational system across the island, the Guam Bar Association, along with the Judiciary of Guam and the District Court of Guam continues to move forward on a limited number of  Law Day activities.

Administrative Order No. ADM20-220, Re: Relative to Extending the Closure of Non-Essential Court Operations and Tolling Time Limitations Under Exigent Circumstances Related to COVID-19 (Coronavirus), was filed this afternoon, Friday, April 10, 2020. Below is a brief summary of the Order.

The Board of Law Examiners have rescheduled the upcoming Guam Bar Examination from July 2020 to September 9-10, 2020 due to COVID-19. Please see Administrative Order No. ADM20-218 for complete details.

Please note that this Guidance replaces in its entirety, the DPHSS Guidance Memo. 2020-03 dated April 3, 2020; which was issued in error. This Guidance supplements DPHSS Guidance Memoranda 2020-01 and 2020-02 issued by the Guam Department of Public Health and Social Services on March 19, 2020 and March 28, 2020, respectively.
